Tigabelas!

-->By Bee Kim ^^

After being invisible for so all these while, it’s time to write my first post in the IAD club blog! =)

-->Last Saturday was the 13th Interior Design Students Saturday a.k.a “tiga belas”. It is a national full-scale event that encompasses an annual gathering of students from nationwide universities and colleges offering interior design or interior architecture course within their faculty. The chosen venue this time was at the KAED Gallery, Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Nippon Paint is tying up to support the event as well. -->We gathered at KBU before we departed and it took us about 30 minutes to reach IIUM. After we reached the destination, we registered ourselves to get t-shirt plus goodies from Nippon Paint for each and everyone.
-->After a longggg wait, finally there’s the opening ceremony by the Director of IIUM. Then we moved ourselves to have some "welcoming cocktail". -->Next, we proceed to the auditorium for the design forum - Eco Friendly Design Towards the Future, Humanity Responsibility towards the Future and also the launching of product & competition by Nippon Paint. It was a good forum. By the way, with the lighting and the speakers’ tune, it was also kinda effective putting people to sleep >.<"..

-->Evidence? -->There you go~
=p

-->Weee~ Lunch time~!

-->After having lunch, we carried on to the Metropolitan Park for Explorace and Kite Flying competition. Supposedly, the programme was scheduled for Explorace followed by Kite Flying, due to the time management breaking down, therefore, both were conducted at the same time.

-->
KBU the #1 choice!

-->Let’s start the game!

-->
Zig Saw Puzzle Painting Team- We used the given materials and paints to create an artwork.

-->

Explorace Team- We raced against time with 9 checkpoints and reached the finish line.

-->Kite Flying Team- We made the kites ourselves!

-->

Fly~ Fly~ Fly~

The Poser~~

While others were having their dinner, a group of people were preparing for their “mission impossible”. It was a rush preparation for the performance since everyone was in a tight schedule. However, it is worth the sweat and hard work =) *PROUD*

-->
The transformers and the make up artists ^^

-->What happened to the 3 of you? Kena boomed haha! -->
At 12.30am, our first day ended……
Everyone was hungry by then so we had McDelivery!

-->
After the supper, I don’t think everyone had a good sleep though. And the morning call was at 6am! =.=”
So we had our breakfast on the second day, and then some went to the Nippon design installation competition and some continued to sleep.

By 2pm, it’s time for the closing ceremony and prize giving to the winners!
KBU won 3 prizes which are in the category of:
Interior & Space design- 1st prize by Shek Ying
Showtime & Performance- 2nd prize
Photorama- 3rd prize by Ng Foong Wai

-->
Our group leader, Keith represented KBU.

To sum it up, the whole programme was fun, just that the time planning was soooo tight hence every activity happened non-stop, therefore, it’s tiring.

And the next day is assignment submission day for diploma students! Help~~~ T.T
See ya then~
