"VERTICAL GARDEN"

Wow! What a first day!
After the holiday breaks, students are going back to college with full of excitement.
Before the academic year began, KBU has always organizing an orientation event for students of Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3. Students are to work together to complete the task of the Crazy Week the task of the Crazy Week. What is Crazy Week? Crazy Week is as part of the introductory or warming up project in the beginning of the academic year.
The aims for the Crazy Week are to demonstrate the creativity in two - and three dimensional exploration, consideration of structure, construction, materials and finishes, demonstrate on the green issues and also demonstrate effective of teamwork.
The theme for this year is Vertical Garden. The vertical Garden is also referred as a living wall, green wall or even bio walls. This is usually part of a building or interior spaces and consists of some sort of vegetation. These vertical gardens can be quite spectacular in appearance, and in some cases, they even work to filter clean air into the building or interior spaces in which they are growing upon.
Students are divided into five groups to complete the proposal of their "Vertical Garden" in innovative ways using multimedia presentation, short movie/commercial break and installation in 3 weeks time.
The Presentation Day
Date : 11 October 2011 Time : 9.00am - 1.00pm Venue : KBU Multi Purpose hall (Level3)
Each group is to present the proposal and submit the complete installation.
