REKA CONFERENCE 2018

Some of us the IAD club committee has got the honor to attend the REKA conference, on Nov 3rd 2018, Thanks to LightCraft for the sponsorship.

The first speaker- Kezia Karin, the famous interior designer from Indonesia. She has shared one of her projects that her big client gives her 3-4 weeks times to completed from design proposal process to constructed. During the weeks, she has got her ideas within 2 days and propose to her client. For the following days, she was planning and constructing process. Finally, she was proud that she has done this project as well.

The second speaker - Mr Horace Pan, an interior designer from Hong Kong. He was a creating storytelling and unique design in playing the lighting designer. He shared his client's gym center that he planning different room playing different lighting colour to represented a different motivation reflected in to the users used.

The third speaker - Anon Pairot, a humor designer from Thailand. He was an engineering background of the furniture designer. He said "We Make Money" that the design not only design but it can help his client earn money with his design. One of his feature light design that the materials used by tapioca. He believes that the special design should not only be made by expensive materials.

The fourth speaker - Mr. Indra Ramanathan. He was a collaborative design working with the architects. During the talk, he was sharing his design philosophy and his experience while designing an event hall apply the local culture design.

 

The last speaker - Ms. Shirin, the Chief Executive Officer of the Atelier Brueckner. She shared her concept developing and her big teamwork in more than 100 people in her company projects. Her atelier has projects as the museum, exhibition, vision centre, expo pavilion, refurbishment, science centre, kid experience exhibition and so on. She also highlighted their innovative Hyundai car showcase expo in Korea.

At the last but not least, the panel session was the chances for the audiences have a Q&A section to know more about the speakers and their future perspective in design scope.

After the event, I'm feeling grateful and thousands of thank for the sponsorship -Lightcraft Showroom that they fully sponsored us to attend this conference. Hopefully, next year we got more chance to attend this kind of event.
