DEGREE SHOWCASE SQ22: THE JOURNEY WITHIN
The Sequence showcase has reached its 20th year this year
thanks to the perseverance and passion of the design students of First City UC
who have kept the spirit of Sequence alive. It is often said that in any
adventure, the journey is more important than the destination. As we reach the
end of our journey as students, we reflect and reminisce about our journey of
selfdiscovery in finding our strengths, interests and identities. Sequence 2022 is the destination of us 2022
graduates ; and through this showcase, we would like to show you our journey.
The theme, “Journey Within”,
symbolizes our many adventures, challenges and friendships forged in our
arrival at this destination. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy the recollection
of our journey as much as we did.
Launching ceremony begins: Registration
and Arrival of Guests.The ushers warmly welcome and also lead the guests to
their seats.
Prize Giving of OSCA x FCUC office design competition: A big congratulations to the winner of this exclusive design competition, Phang Hui Tat , our Interior Architecture and Design graduate. We are truly grateful and deeply appreciate the opportunity for FCUC students to participate, showcase and present their design and ideas.
Fashion Marketing Fashion Show: A fashion show comprising two different collections of garments. The first one is a slow-fashion label called SWIEY by Tah Kai Xin, our Fashion Marketing graduate from First City UC who has created her very first fashion label. The latter is an exclusive Sequence 2022 t-shirt collection designed by our Interior Architecture and Design graduate, Joyce Lau. It encapsulates self-discovery and ambition, as the tagline “find yourself” encourages its wearer to be a better version of themselves.
Our displayed work is open to be admired by the public. There is a sense of delight and excitement to see people immersed in our project and taking the time to comprehend the works of our hands, our thought processes and our grand ideas.

The hard work of everyone and every department makes this event successful. Every First City UC Graduate and the lecturers played an important role in planning, designing, constructing and organizing this great event. And I believe this will be memorable and long cherished by all of us as we enter the new chapter of our life. You guys have been amazing, till we meet again!
