On 25 March 2026, FDBE‑DBE successfully hosted the second session of the Road to Shine series at FCUC, featuring our inspiring alumna Miki Ee Meng Chyi, Founder & Creative Director of Longface Design Atelier Sdn Bhd.
With approximately 40 students from Interior Architecture and Design programme in attendance, Miki shared her journey from a design student to a successful entrepreneur, reflecting on her final year project, passion for design, and the importance of perseverance and lifelong learning. She also showcased award‑winning projects, giving students real‑world insights into design thinking, industry challenges, and professional expectations.
Students were encouraged to step out of their comfort zones, participate in design competitions, and build strong portfolios. The session ended with an engaging Q&A, sparking meaningful discussions on career pathways and industry practice.
