Sharing Session with Cayenne Lim (A Moxie Associates Sdn. Bhd.) and Vivienne Lau (Admira Sdn. Bhd.)
After a long
time since the pandemic movement control restriction, finally we are honored to
have Ms Cayenne Lim from A Moxie Associates Sdn. Bhd. and Vivienne Lau from
Admira Sdn. Bhd. to share their experience and expertise with us in our very
lecture hall.
Firstly, ms Cayenne is actually an alumni who graduated with BA(Hons) Interior Architecture with us in this college. With her years of experience in the industry as an Interior Design. It is an honor to have her returning to the familiar campus to share us some great experience and some advices to us the new coming designers.
During the
sharing session, ms Cayenne showed us the process how their team emerge their
project by studying the existing culture, branding history and analysist with a
touch of modernity into their design. We are well amazed by her thoughts about
the importance of design concept and first impression for the retail showroom
done through the outcome images shown on screen. Also, the detailing of the
design purposes and client experiences throughout the project duration is
meaningful and helpful to us.
Meanwhile, ms Vivienne from Admira has something different to be shared with us. She had shown us the old and new innovative of material in the current industry market, also some videos to show us the process of producing high pressured laminate, and what component they have used. At the end of session, we have been introduced to various kind of laminate, their differences in strength, finishes and adaptation onto different use and space.
Though the
session was short but all the content shared were rather intense. We hope
everyone to attended the sharing be it in the lecture hall or via zoom enjoyed
the session very much. A token of appreciation is handed to ms Cayenne Lim and ms
Vivienne Lau at the end of the sharing.
We are cherished to have the opportunity to invite both guests to share their experiences with us. Through this sharing, we had learnt that exploration of materials and understanding their adaptation and strength are rather important. Also, it excites to find out that materials could be flexi adapt onto interior and there are tons of finishes could be replaced to fit the project’s budget or outcome achievement.
With this pandemic, Admira Laminate Sdn Bhd tackle to upgrade their laminate qualities to kill germs and virus which are getting stronger or manipulating from time to time. Also, as a designer, it is important to keep up updated in our knowledge of material so that client/user will have got a better quality of space.
