This year's MIID Student Saturday event was a little weary.
The IAD students rode a 6hours bus from our campus in Bandar Utama to Penang Island, at a very dearly early hour of 7am Friday.
But all those exhaustion disappear miracle-ly when we reach our destination.
Hello Beautiful Penang Island!
Since it was the day before the event, we took a quick walk down to the heritage lane then separate ways to hunt for our dinner.
Some of us took the time to stay back in the hostel at night to work on our projects, and also preparations for the event.

They were very nervous while waiting for their turn to present to the judges.

Nothing is more fun than team design & building the prototype together
Those numerous sleepless night & even the day before the event in the hostel.

We were given a theme to sketch in less than 3 hours.

The IAD dance group choreograph a simple cultured inspired dance
To convey the strong & never give up spirit of past to current.
WARIS Fashion Design
Students have been busy designing & prepping for the costume design for a month and their effort definitely stole the limelight of all audience's sigh.
Also special thanks to the BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing lecturers for guiding the IAD students in all support through this journey.
The costume is now being displayed in FCUC campus :)

WARIS Competition
To built objects on the spot & with limitation of materials
Assembling all the pre-prepared structures on site & adding additional objects onto it.
Of course besides than all the competitions
The organizers also had prepared some various workshop like wood carving, batik painting, bamboo weaving & etc for students to occupy their freetime
And when the weather started to rain so heavily that our students got stuck at the workshop venue opposite of the main hall.
But it was all fun experience!
It is definitely a memorable full day where we cheered so hard for each other.
It was all the experiences gained, laughters made, team spirit, the bonding of us all from different levels.
Though it is just a one day event, but we get to expose a rather insight of other institution's strength.
Also not to mention, we get to make new friends!

We did not win many but what is much more precious is we had won each other's heart.The memories we made.And walking down the journey together.
